Lynx - Augmented reality Ad

Advertising and marketing has two very polarizing extremes – on one hand, you have cutting-edge technology that pumps out Adverts which seem to be where the future is headed. On the other hand, you have very age-old marketing concepts which create quite a funky and catchy effect, serving the purpose of selling your brand or product. Today, we’re not going to bore you with a million details about Advertising and marketing; instead, we just want to share with you two videos that we came across quite recently. Both of them were made known to us by scouring the pages of Engadget. The first, is an Ad in the UK by Lynx (the famed Axe brand of deodorants in India) which shows how augmented reality (adding a little bit of virtual reality into real-life) can create a stunning effect. The next, is a video clip from a passerby in Tokyo, of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Arc stand. We know Sony Ericsson wants to play with Android, but this… was something else.
